Read and Consider

My heart is hurting for the Church today. As one brother said in an email this morning, "The Church is forever running to catch up to the world". The Church is called to be the head and not the tail. The tail follows the dog and does not lead in anything. The tail of the dog just reacts to what is happening and has no say nor is it considered when decisions are made.

There is a sense in which the Church is forfeiting its right to speak into world situations because it has taken an isolationist approach, especially in North America.

We live in a global society and no amount of denial will change that. Preaching against it will not change it, nor will any rearranging of their understanding of "end time events".

If we are going to become what God has called the Church to be, there will have to be a change in the way we approach things. An aggressiveness in the Spirit to press into a deeper relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator will have to be manifest. This will result in a people manifesting that portion of His nature and creativity in all its forms will begin to flow from the people who are the Church.

Although I believe in Jesus as the Savior, I am not talking about knowing him in that aspect. That is essential. I cannot know Him as the Creator, if I refuse Him as the Savior.

The world is not going to be convinced that we serve the Creator of the universe, if the Church is always playing catch up. They will be convinced as a people rise up and manifest the Creator by becoming the head in all things. The world is not impressed with our fine words and theological pronouncements. But they will be convinced as we walk in what has been the subject of our talk all these years.

Lord let a people rise up and move past the current leadership in the world's dimensions on every level. Creator rise up in those who have given themselves to you to change their character and nature, I pray.
