Time Flies

Dear Friends:

Time flies when one is pursuing God and busy.

We have never lived in such times of struggle in the battle of the mind. The enemy of our souls is ever out to cause us to be discouraged, ever trying to misinterpret circumstances. There a numerous things that try to distract us from what God has said.

Since the last time I wrote, God has been gracious even though the events have been difficult. At the beginning of Oct. we were in dire straits, not knowing if we would be able to stay in the housing we had contracted for when we first moved here. I had not bookings to teach or preach anywhere until Nov. and the budget was at least $1500.00 short. The first week in Oct. God caused a school to call and ask me to teach on short notice. Right after that call came another that also asked us to teach. Between the two of them, God made up what was lacking.

It is a constant walk of faith here, and a stretching experience.

I just want to share an experience I had one morning as I woke, I felt the Lord speaking into my spirit about a problem I was seeing in the Body of Christ. My heart has been burdened for the divisions in the Body of Christ and what it might take to begin to bring them together. One of the things He reminded me of, is that there are portions of the Body that believe differently from others, and He has caused it to be that way. On the essentials we believe the same. Example: the blood of Jesus, the need for baptism, and a few other essentials. Yet, there seems to be almost unlimited diversity on other matters.

He reminded me there is a stage in childhood, when insecurity seems to demand that my way is the only way. Then, I believe He gave me a key that goes with my new position as president of a group of church Bible schools and colleges in I.S.C.L.

If these emphasis are essential to the function of that portion of the Body, then I was to help them develop their particular emphasis throughout the Word, causing them to see God's emphasis and bring it to maturity in the ones He has chosen to walk that way.

A mature attitude will allow others to hold different beliefs as long as the basics or foundations are the same. I am now looking at the Body in the light of this revelation. It really is a further development of what He gave me in the two courses, "Spiritual Parallels to the Natural Body".

As I continue to wait on the Lord for further direction, I trust He will show me how to help each group develop His emphasis for them and grow them to a place of security in God in His emphasis for them, so they will be able to recognize the need for other members of the Body to function with their emphasis. Only He can bring us there. In the natural Body, the organs all have different functions, or emphasis to their function, but it is all directed from the Head. God bring us to a place where that is possible and we will all flow together to present to the world a united Body the fullness of which displays "the fullness of Him that fills all in all". SELAH
