Where Are The Hungry?

Jesus said, Blessed are they who Hunger and Thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. Hunger is a motivating force.

Hunger drives locusts to swarm and move long distances. Proverbs calls the Locust something the writer does not understand. Today the Body of Christ, of which the locusts are a type, does not understand Hunger either.

Religious fast food is the food of the day. There are a number of natural fast food places that I call filling stations. They do not give much nutrition but eating there makes people feel full and often the taste is ok. Because it tastes ok, they think it is ok. But, like eating a constant diet of rabbit, eating at fast food places could eventually kill you.

True Hunger can never be satisfied with miracles, signs, wonders or ministry. True Hunger can only be satisfied by eating properly. Eating properly is experiencing Him who is the Bread of Life and Living Water. Experiencing the person, not just academically understanding the revelation. True food is revelation of the person  of Jesus in an experiential way that changes your life.

True Hunger seeks righteousness, which is right relationship with God and man. Right relationship with God changes you to be more like Him. Right relationship with man draws you closer to each other in proper balance.

Where is the Hunger in the Church? We go to church, sing and listen to the preaching, but are not changed. That comes from a lack of Hunger.

Proverbs says: "(Pro 27:7 KJV)  The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet"

The question then becomes, If we are full, what are we full of, and if we are Hungry, what are we Hungry for?

What we are satisfied with will reveal to us our spiritual condition.

Lord reveal to us the wrong hungers in our hearts and Make Us Hungry for Righteousness.
