Spiritual Warfare - 2

In our post earlier today, we began to discuss the current approach to spiritual warfare. We spoke about the books that are already written, working to only a certain point. In this short blog, I want to continue to give bite size chunks of thought, upon why this is so.

I a course I am currently writing on the subject, the Lord pointed out the three battlegrounds. The World, The Flesh, and the Devil.

Ecc 3:11  He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

In the light of this passage from KJV an interesting dichotomy is seen. The world, which we have always been taught is an external, becomes an internal. This changes a number of things and how we view the world. Coupled with another passage of scripture and its application that should also change how we view tempation.

Jas 1:14  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Taking this passage at face value, we find that the world without cannot tempt me, if the world within has been dealt with. The enemy of my soul can only draw on that which is within. Therefore, if I yield to a temptation on any realm, or level,  it is not something from without that is the problem, but, that which is within responded to the temptation.

Think on this for a while and I will come back and discuss more of this later.

Dr. Bill
